Does anyone know when the Encore will be accepting applications?

Does anyone care? This man has proven what type of employer he is over and over again. I say let Stevie-boy deal the games himself!

It's my understanding | ||

It is my understanding that a lot of the people who are now on the wynn extra board will be dealing at encore. Some of the folks on the extra board are not
even getting one day a week right now, but then the entire town is slow.
It would be very difficult for me to work for the man, knowing he has already figuratively raped the dealers once. |

I hate to say this, but with employment in it's present state, I doubt Steve will have a hard time finding help.

I might have to agree with you Geff...I personally would rather sit on a corner with a sign or flip burgers at McDs before I ever worked for or around him
again. He has lied and cheated and stole from every employee he has ever had (Desert Inn "I won't implode this property"..."Oh but
you'll be the first ones hired back when I open Wynn"). But then again we all know the horror stories about working for the Gaughns and yet there
were always dealers on their tables. Guess you can get an idea of the caliber of staff you'll be getting Steve

These are pretty harsh words. "he lied cheated and stole from every employee he has ever had........." I guess that is why he had so few job
applicants for the Wynn.
He will have no trouble recruiting dealers for the Encore, in good times or in bad. The bottom line is that the Wynn is still a very lucrative dealing job and the Encore should be one of the top jobs in town. |

the encore might be the best job in vegas when it opens.....i expect record crowds to apply for the position......i have heard many rumors about apps but the
latest was early july........dont know if i will be one of the many applying or not but lets hope that everyone is satisified with their pay rates at both the
wynn and encore.........i am concerned about the number of casinos opening in vegas. seems the market is getting saturated.......and many more to open
soon........

21 dealer, I thought for years that Vegas would hit a saturation point but it keeps growing. I hear they are starting on a casino called "The
Street". It's going to be a casino themed after the show Sesame Street but with more of an edge. It's great because now the players can learn how
to count.

"…..i have heard many rumors about apps but the latest was early july…." .......if you are referring to the number of applicants…..your "many rumors" are a figment of your imagination ….. encore has not accepted any applications….. "….the encore might be the best job in vegas when it opens…." …..would an equal tip split with leads (non dealers) be the best job in vegas…..it could be the worst… …..encore will have lots of applicants……. who know mr wynns past….who will be the loudest complainers when they get screwed…… Note: The repeating periods and non capitalization is done so that twentyonedealer understands this post. |

reality | ||

Here's the reality of it. Encore will be at least an 80k plus job, possibly 100k. If you want to be a sourpuss and stay unemployed, do it, if you want to work in a beautiful, climate controlled building, be provided free meals and drinks, have insurance, a full time schedule and a NICE steady paycheck, then apply. Go ahead and flip burgers at Mc D's, just don't complain that you (well, maybe not you in particular) don't have options!! |

What is the bottom line | ||
|
NewWynndealer, I agree with you it should be a solid job. Aside from all this toke controversy, a person should look at the job and compare the bottom line. If
I'm at a job that I make 40K a year and they don't take a cut of the tokes and there is a job that I can make 80k but it would have been 100k if they
didn't take a cut I'm still going for the latter. If Steve Wynn took 50% of the tokes but you still made 200K afterwards would you flip out and quit. I
would look at comparative jobs to see how they pay and act accordingly.
I wasn't happy about the toke thing but I believe the owners and managers of the Wynn have a right to decide on policies concerning compensation. You don't have to work for them if you don't want. They could end tips totally if they wanted. Would that be good or bad??? That would depend on the salary. |
