Hot nightclubs in any city cost an arm and a leg. The same tactics are used. This story didn't shock me. Anyone who lives here should have known better. I agree with the replies posted at the end of the story. The guy, a local should have known better.

Supply and demand are what this country is all about. I don't care for those tactics of hustling, so I don't go there. Apparently there are plenty of people that do and are willing to pay.

My concern is the resort that these places operate in. Let's face it, when a visitor feels they got ripped off and go home and tell their friends, they don't mention the name of the club....they mention the name of the resort. To them, it's one in the same. Also true with contracted restaurants. You spend a bundle in a gourmet room and you feel cheated, you blame the hotel.

They spend all that money on customer service education and sub out nightclubs and restaurants than obviously don't cater to the core values of the resort thus hurting all of us.
