Scott wishes he had such command of the English language and passion toward some of the topics these forums offer. He lost that passion years ago. I do find it
humorous that no matter what is written on these forums, Scott, as the only identifiable figure gets the blame for whatever pisses people off even
though he never posts anything on here other than promoting online poker programs or golf tournaments for dealers.
Let's stay on topic now shall we? In a somewhat related issue do any of you think the TWU will have the political clout here in Nevada that the state of Connecticut offers the UAW? http://www.norwichbulletin.com/news/x875597821/Foxwoods-refuses-to-talk-with-dealers |

I really do think the timing was off on the Rio. I understand the argument against waiting for the Supreme Court to interpret employer tip sharing but I too
would have voted NO without knowing the outcome. I'm not happy Rio voted NO. I'm sad that we all think we have to go through this. This is tearing us
apart.

You will find that within these forums there are some debates. Debating is not a purely rational affair and you may as well know it. The reason for this is simple. The people in that forum are not purely or even primarily rational creatures. They base their arguments mostly on emotion and a sprinkle of bullshit.http://thedealerslounge.yuku.com/topic/410 (As evidence on this debate) |

Union officials said after the vote count, which was overseen by officials from the National Labor Relations Board, that the
union is not discouraged and will continue to try to organize at local casinos.
I thought the union was the dealers, and that the dealers were the union. According to what we've been told by pro-union pushers here regarding what or who constitutes the union, therefore, at the Rio, the union rejected itself. How then can union officials say that the union is not discouraged and will continue to try to organize at local casinos? How can the union be said to be discouraged or not when it wasn't even formed? And why should the union ever be discouraged about rejecting itself? Foidamoa, how can "union officials" exist and give interviews, when the union wasn't even formed? As I now understand it: 1. A union is an organization separate and apart from any dealer or body of dealers who might decide to join it. 2. Union officials are employees of a union. 3. This union doesn't get discouraged when it is rejected. 4. This union will try to organize at other local casinos. So, why will union officials continue to try to organize at local casinos? It had been my understanding that 'trying to organize' was what some dealers were doing, not some union officials. I'd been under the impression that the union waited until it was invited by the dealers to help them organize. Obviously, I was wrong to believe the pro-union pushers on here. |

Is that what you thought you read? I suggest you try looking at the words and concentrating harder in future. Tell me though, why do YOU care whether another
dealer joins a union or not? What's in it for you?

Very funny. I was in reference to the atmosphere where I work. I should have made that clear. |

Then I gladly take it back. Does that "very funny" mean that you are among the very few with a sense of humor, capable of "taking it" in
jest here? I hope so.

ALL LV dealers not voting in a union before the Wynn tip redistribution.
The trend is clearly for dealers to continue to NOT vote in a union. |

I have lived on Ms. Gulf Coast for over thirty years. I have never seen publicity regarding unions (pro or anti) until recently. The above web site has
been advertised on our local tv stations for the past two weeks. I would like to know if these ads are running elsewhere.

Apparently, having lost the union debate here, and in face of bitter disappointment at the Rio (ziggy's had to pop about 1000 cartoon speech balloons), the
pro-union pushers have actually taken what's left of their balls and gone home.
Please, a word of caution. Don't let the forum door... |
