I agree. The very last thing a poker room manager is looking for in a dealer is ego and drama. I realize you've dealt to JAMIE GOLD (we got it the first time, the second, third and fourth name-drops were really superfluous), but what poker room managers want is quiet, skilled, mature competence.

I have to be honest, the whole 9 years experience thing, and the fact that you're so impressed that you've dealt to JAMIE GOLD kinda throw up a red (BS) flag with me.

I've worked in a poker room in Tulsa Oklahoma for the past 3 1/2 years. Disregarding dealing WPT and WSOP events, in my room, in the past 3 1/2 years. off the top of my head I recall dealing to Scotty Nguyen, Todd Brunson, Clonie Gowen, Amir Vahidi, TJ Cloutier, Mike Matusow, Chris Moneymaker, Tito Pham, John Phan, Men Nguyen, Hoyt Corkins, Linda Johnson, Amarillo Slim, Barry Johnston, Mike Mizrachi, Jan Fisher, Bob Ciaffone, and David Williams. I don't count Shirley Williams, The Grinder's wife, and the host of other 2nd and 3rd tier wannames who follow the top tier players around. I'm also pissed that I've never dealt to Evelyn Ng, but that's another story.

My point is, if I've dealt to all those big names in 3 1/2 years in Tulsa Oklahoma, I can't help but wonder why someone with 9 years experience dealing in AC would be so thrilled and star-struck about having dealt to JAMIE (the self proclaimed "best bluffer in the world") GOLD.

Even if I'm wrong on that, all you have to do to find your problem is go back and read your posts. You come off as superior, narcissistic, arrogant, and egotistic. If you're coming off that way to poker room managers, it's no surprise that you're not being offered auditions/jobs.

I'll tell you this. In the past year alone, I've had several job offers/invitations to audition from poker room managers who had sat at my table, or who had been given my name by poker players or other poker professionals who had sat at my table. I didn't deal the WSOP this year, but every time I have in the past, I've been offered full time jobs by Harrah's, and by people from other Vegas poker rooms who were there scouting for talent. Most other competent pros I know have had similar experiences.

There is more to dealing poker than throwing cards, cutting chips and calling people on string bets. I'll again tell you if you dealt the WSOP and didn't get at least an invitation to audition, there is something about your dealing or your demeanor that is turning potential employers off.

Now, you can take that as an attack, and we can have a nice big old fight on the internet where we call each other names, threaten to beat each other up, etc. What does that solve?

The other way to do it is to look back at what has been written, take note of what has been said, take an honest look at yourself and see what matches up and try to learn from it.

You've dealt the WSOP the past 5 years .....

Yet you can't get an audition or a job in Vegas,

And you're swooning like a tweener at a Jonas Brothers' concert because you dealt to JAMIE GOLD.
