Best shot i've ever heard of, i'm not sure if it happend or not, a guy said he was at the mirage. A guy comes and buys in for $1,000 black...then puts money plays in the field...a $100 bill face up, 8 easy, he tosses in a black chip, says money plays is lucky for me can you leave it there? 6 easy, he tosses in another black chip and goes to the next table, they roll 12 craps...the guy gives him 3 black chips, he said excuse me that's more than $100, he had ironed 15 $100 bills together with wax, he said it was so they could fit in his pocket. So they had to pay him and the other crew got fired...not sure if it's true, but a good shot if it happend
If bet is made and booked as money plays, then the bet loses, the money MUST go into the box. The reason for this is simple, the cash bet is lost. If the
player gives cheques to keep his money would be like someone coloring up and being given cash for his cheques on the game. It's not only wrong, it's
against the law. Cash goes only one way on a game. The cashier is the only place cheques can be exchanged for cash.
In the situation you described, only three people should have been fired, the stick, the base and the box. Four people if the floor was watching and did
nothing. The dealer on the opposite base should e safe because it's not his lane and the dealer on break should be safe. but he other should be gone!
