Duel-Rates Canned At Caesars! |

Duel-rates are gone from Caesars. However they can reapply for fulltime floor. Bullshit!

Some of the BEST "Floor" we have at Caesars Palace has turned out to be the Dual-rates since Harrah's took over. It is terrible that this is
happening to them. I think this is just the begining at ALL Harrah's properties.
The "word" is, the Dual-Rates have been told that they will all be able to "re-apply" for FT Floor jobs (losing all of their years of benefits I would assume), but there are only a "few" positions available (why I didn't see the Floor in my section all shift yesterday, even with ALL the Dual-rates working). I heard they were also told that NONE of them would be able to be a "dealer". Yes, they were good enough to deal in the past years, but not now. I agree...BULLSH*T |

Of course they wouldn't let them be dealers...that would just add more numbers to your bargaining unit which would add more stength, which would be very
bad for the corporate monster.

Three months ago, the Beau Rivage (MGM Corporate) decided to eliminate the box
position.
Of course the box persons were happy bumblebees.
Humor has is that due to Mississippi Gaming Commission, the above mentioned, reorganization was NOT acceptable.
NOW, the box persons turned full time dealers are now dual rates. Now these bumble bees are not so happy.
The crap dealers were given training on Never Never Craps two weeks ago.
Again "rumours" The Mississippi Gaming Commission decided that the
"Beau Rivage" way of paying
Unfortunately, or fortunately, the Mississippi Gaming Commission is divided into two parts:
Northern: Indian Tribe Southern: Las Vegas or who knows
I guess we are still growing??????????? After sixteen (*(*(***(ing years, you would think the two (LOL) state departments would get it together?
Just venting and maybe just wondering…………… |

Depending on where you go in Vegas will determine what the odds are on the 2,3,11,12, and three way seven. Does that mean that Vegas has two different governing departments?

To get "back on topic", today there was a NEW Floorperson on Graveyard at CP. I guess instead of allowing the position to go to a soon-to-be former
Dual-Rate, they thought it better and kinder to fill the position from the outside. This is who we ALL work for!

What does liking a job (dealing at CP) have to do with expressing outrage at your employers way of filling vacant non dealer
positions?

When you sleep with the devil you are guaranteed to get screwed. It never ceases to amaze me how you guys are constantly being bent over by your employers and
it still surprises you.

jonesincognito wrote: Nothing "surprises me". This circumsatnce is one reason why the dealers at Caesars Palace and The Wynn are now negotiating contracts. To update this string, there is now yet ANOTHER new Floor "breaking in" at CP. They were hired as a FT Floor on Swingshift. So, even before the Dual-rates who will NOT be allowed to stay, CP is STILL hiring Floor from the outside. That makes TWO this week alone! That was TWO more spots which could have went to the Dual-rates. These guys are friggin cruel and don't even try to mask it, but instead they flaunt their cruelty in the faces of the soon-to-be "out of luck and work" Dual-rates. FYI, the NLRB made a landmark decision last October which determined that Floor Supervisors CAN ORGANIZE. Just a thought. |

Card Mechanic: Do you have any links that say that floor supervisors can organize. I think I would go back to floor if I could be apart of a union. Did any
of the Dual-Rates fired get the honor of training in their replacements?
