Yeah, also if you don't mind your employer making changes in your working conditions which may ultimately turn your world upside down, go apply. Buyer beware. Keep your monthly bills low for a few years, just in case. Buy with cash to avoid any monthly payments that in the future you may not be able to pay. I have a question, how many joints have made "top dollar" for as long as they have been open? I know of only two out of over 100. But seriously, if I were in the market, I too would probably apply. Then once I got the job I would start beating the Union drum as loudly as I could!

Newwynndearler is obviously an extraboard at Wynn with blinders on. Although, I do wish all the extraboard well at Encore, I do think it will be a good income. Good for you all!!! BTW, another thing, I do not have any desire to go to Encore. I, for one have worked too hard to bring this union into place and believe in following it through. The problem is, we cant trust him to keep his word. He could vary well decide 1 year and a half after the joint opens that the porters don't make as much money as the dealrs so they get a cut too... same goes for the house keepers, after all they give service to the players. dont forget the front desk, bellhops... shall I go on? What would happen if the dealers all got hired, then all got together before the joint even opens and unionize... wouldn't that be something!

Member Posts: 72 (04/30/08 06:49) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	nothing like an optimist wynn account. i said it might be a great job. i said i heard apps will be taken in july not that they already are being taken. i said i hope everyone will be happy with their pay rates. if you dont like steve wynn quit. find another job that pays as well. your so highly educated that i figure maybe nasa or harvard could use you. and i see your union is getting alot done too. you should be so proud that you voted them in. what an immediate impact they have made.just last week i heard of their brilliant marketing. what was it again..thats right putting t shirts with tv's on them and having people stand in front of the casinos telling people how to tip. i do hope that steve wynn doesnt move all the business to encore and squeeze out the wynn dealers. that would be cruel and be like biting the hand that has fed him....maybe like the dealers voting in the union . it sure would suck if the tokes at wynn dropped down another 20 to 25 thousand because of that. but i'm sure your union will come up with another plan..let me help..i'm not as smart as you wynn people are but i'll try to help out.....hmm.....how bout getting those sign holders that dress like the statue of liberty. tax season is over.. you can get them cheap. give them a sign that says play here not at encore..maybe you can catch the strip drivers before they pass by. hope i was a help
