The "banker" always wins copy hands. So the player will win the copy hand since the player is banking.

Thanks. Does this apply for every casino. I've heard conflicting stories. Thanks for the help.

The house wins | ||

If the player/banker is playing his hand against the house, the house still wins in a copy. However, when playing his hand against other players on the table,
then the player/banker will win a copy.
The player/banker still has to make a wager (to play against the house) separate from his bankroll against the other players. This wager against the house is still played by house rules (house wins copies) and is played before the player/banker begins playing his hand against other players at the table. After playing his hand against the house, the house's hand is discarded and the player/bankers hand takes its place...it THEN becomes the banking hand. This is when the player/banker officially becomes the bank and will start to win copies. The house will always win a copy over a player. Even if they choose to bank, they are still considered a player when playing their hand against the house.

fasteclipsemn wrote: This is not a universal rule, I have often played in Vegas casinos where i banked against the house (no other players) and I won on copy hands. In fact if
it were not for that fact banking against the house would be silly (and the house would be silly not to let you do it every hand).

The banker wins all ties. This is whether it's againt the house or other players. You realize that as dealers, we are the banker unless a player opts to
be the banker. A player asks, what is the advantage of banking? I say it is in that the banker wins the ties - or copies - and gets the cards
that the dealer would have gotten if no one banked. At my place it is the 1 spot.
I have never heard of it any other way. All of my dealing experience is in Las Vegas, though. |
