Kindly Requesting a section of threads dedicated to Canadian Dealers. |

I would like to formally and respectfully request a section here on this forum be dedicated or Titled "Canadian Dealers" or something of the
likewise. Perhaps it would be beneficial to us all out here in Canada.....

I have long advocated that we redesign OUR forum to include US regional general discussion message boards and Canada. I have an interest
reading whats going on down south without having to filter through the GD board. A general discussion board for our peers in the southern states would entice
those dealers to register and participate just as a separate board would do the same for Canadians.
The current structure of just one general discussion board (that for all practical purposes is mostly Vegas based information sharing) is not only lame but inconsiderate. Dealers who don't live here may not want to read a board that is dominated by Vegas news. They have their own issues and inquires and should have their own forum.
(and Canada) May even expand it internationaly to include Europe, China etc...if there is a demand One thing is clear. This forum is not working. I really think that if WE have separate sections that deal with regional issues, general conversation and networking it will entice more to register and give these boards a new dimension that will work!!! Come on guys........lets do something to make this better. Anyone else have any similar suggestions? |

It's not like people from other regions are denied the right to post... | ||

If most posts come from Vegas dealers it would seem that is who is reading the board. If the General Discussion board was overloaded with threads I could see a need for separation, but it's not. How many threads are started each day? I would guess 4 or 5. So you would have a Canadian, a Midwest and a Southern board with perhaps a couple threads a month? Maybe you separate the GD board into a board dedicated to dealers who work on reservations and a board dedicated to dealers who work for corporations? |

Let me just say.... | ||

that over my 4-year dealing career, I have dealt to a good number of Canandians. Not a single one tipped me. Canadian dealers, I feel for you. We need to get all of you on salary. |

Ok, I realize that the GD forum is very slow right now and without controversy will probably remain so. On the other hand I truly believe if WE build it, THEY
will come. Keep the current GD forum as is. Keep the craps, poker and casino stories forums.
On the bottom add the regional and Canadian discussion and networking forums and see what happens in the next year or so. What can it hurt? We need to do something. |
