I hear all the stories about Binion's Horseshoe booking million dollar bets and I'm curious which casinos currently have the highest allowable craps bets. Anyone know?

Highest I've seen is a $100/$10,000 game at Caesar's; $32,000 max payoff in the center. Most joints are $5,000 max bet with full odds (usually 3x4x5x). I wouldn't be surprised if exceptions are made for certain premium players of course.
You're right though, nothing beats the Horseshoe in its heyday. The stories are wild. |

I was lucky enough to deal craps on the casino boats out of Florida, the max bets were only maybe as high as $1000 with 5 x odds but it was usually a $5 or $10 minimum. Come bets, first player has $5 come bet, heres a green give me max odds and bring down my place bet second player $1000 come bet wants max odds all the hard ways $100 and a two way YO $25 each, oh how much do I owe if you take my place bet down? WTF. If was great!! I loved the different bets it was a real challenge, none of the straight $15 full odds next roll, press up my come bet to $25, max the odds. There is only so much of the same crap like this any body can take.
I think that the highest limit I ever saw on a boat in Florida was, $2000 with 5 x odds, for those players they would allow come bets with full odds, place bets and buy bets, yes even on the 6 & 8. I dont remember the max on the center but it wasnt that difficult to figure, cant remember if it was max payout on dont with full lay or on the line with odds any way there is some formula that most casinos use to figure out the odd ball increase of max bets. |

The Majestic in In has $5 to $50,000. It also says $50,000 odds maximum I think. The Four Winds in Mi has $5 to $20,000.

I dealt at Binion's Horeshoe in Hammond and we have 100x odds. The max place bet was $250 so with max odds a whale hit a come bet on the nine with $250
flat and $25,000 odds. Damn near used every color on the table to pay that one off ($37,750 obviously), with four suits behind me verifying, saying "send
it", "send it", "send it" and "send it".

I work at a big house on the strip and on a couple of different occasions I have delt to whale at our place who is one of the few who is still grandfathered in
with his high limit betting. The limits were $10K, 3x4x5x. He would triple dip all the way across.
1. He would place $64K across 2. Then do $10K come/put bets across with full odds 3. Last but not least, he would buy every number across for $60K With a whopping grand total of $424K across, I'm sure I won't be seeing that again anytime soon.
