What are the goals for blackjack hands dealt per hour for the casinos you all work at?

Is 400 pretty standard, especially in Vegas? It's 300 here. Just curious.

It is in the high 400's, around 475.
Based on many factors, play, player skill and 'normal' games tasks. The count is normally done in 20 minute intervals by the eye. If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.

Fluid-475 seems very extraordinary. There's five of us that dealt over 400 hands per hour in the last audit out of about 100 dealers (I think, give or take a few). My audit said 420 hands per hour including all other activities except table fill. I suppose in "optimum conditions" and if you can deal straight through 475 isn't all that extraordinary.

where I work they have never told us how many hands per hour we deal, so I am not sure just how many I do deal. I do keep up with the number of shoes I deal per hour though, and that is why I ask how many shoes equal 475 hands.

One 6 deck shoe should be dealt in about 8 mins.

At my casino the threshold is 350/hr. Last January I was given an award for doing over 400/hr. Then in June for my appraisal I was given an action plan
because I had been clocked at 348/hr. I am on good terms with the supervisor who did the count so I asked her what table it was. She admitted to me that it
was a full royal match table with heavy royal match play. At one of my series of meetings with the shift mgr. to complete my action plan I said that it
wasn't fair to clock a dealer on a royal match game. He looked me in the eye and said that it was not a royal match table. Obviously there were other
motives for the action plan. But, isn't it easier to do your job as a shift manager to just be honest.
In the process of completing my action plan I did some math and figure that 5 shoes an hour comes out to around 435-450 hph. There are so many variables though. To use hph as a real tool then it needs to be done a few times and have an average. And the majority of my dealing is on craps. If I get stuck on snapper for two week-end nights in a row then I am pushing myself to get through 5 shoes and my back is going to hurt until I get to that second cocktail. On the plus side: we no longer have royal match. If I by chance contributed to that decision in any sort of way then I would be happy to go through the deceit and bs all over again. |

OK, if you go through say 7, 6-deck shoes per-hour, how much down time shuffling?
Thanks. |
