As I often talk about, I call that "NEGATIVE MONEY MANAGEMENT" when players are UNWILLING TO WIN. They press when up OR DOWN, and play in more of a Martingale-like fashion ( I call it "Nightingale" as I'd need a nurse if I played that way - LOL ). One author described it as a "willingness to lose without any willingness to win". But I still remain very doubtful that proper bankroll and money management, combined with ANY "system", can be a long term winning proposition at a negative expectancy game like craps. I believe proper disciplined money management can allow you to match the small mathematical disadvantage of the game ( like well under 1% losses for line+odds players ) but NEVER BEAT IT. You mention being a semi-pro, but live in OH? It sounds like you are an ex-dealer who now only plays "occasionally" on trips and this system has worked in limited trials but you still are not confident in it. If you can play it professionally then why not do that? I doubt any casinos would bar you, assuming no part of your system involves cheating and since you said you don't even accept "mistake bonuses" I assume your system is "stand up", and playing craps for a living would have to beat most "day jobs"! The skeptic in me says that if you've been doing this for 5 years successfully you wouldn't need to solicit "trials" to keep testing against. Good Luck to you - the story just doesn't add up to me - hope you aren't headed for disaster!

Posts: 11 (10/13/07 07:24) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	parlayboy, sorry for the delay in response, i left for vegas on 10-8 and returned yesterday. i had one of my worst trips in months. i only played about half of the time that i expected because i was working on something non-craps related. i won $1800 over the four days, which for me, was not worth it. i made two glaring errors that cost myself $1200, but that's another story. now about your post... that was about the best and most reasoned responses that i have ever received on this board or the other 'player' boards that i belong to. let me answer a few questions without being too verbose. i never like the term professional or semi-professional when referring to gambling, i used it because others use it. i guess a more appropriate term for me is 'semi-regular'. i have to travel either 3 1/2 hours to Detroit; 4 hour to Niagara Falls; or 4 hour (flight) to Vegas to play. that obviously limits me, and i need to win as much as i can when i play. about being confident...i know the negative expectations, and i see what happens every day (that i play). this may sound incredulous, but i have not lost my entire method, from start to end, in live casino play, since i started playing it. i KNOW that it can and WILL lose some day. so when you said that i sounded less than confident, you are correct in one respect (my knowing that I will lose). my 'management' involves recovering losses (not martingale), to a degree, but i have a limit. if i ever reach that limit, i am done for that trip. as i have said, i have never reached that limit in live casino play. i also said, somewhere, that i have won MORE than my trip bankroll a few times over and WHEN i do lose my trip bankroll the first time, i will pull the reserve out and start over and refill the reserve (and pray i don't lose until the reserve is filled again, lol). you are correct in that i do NOT cheat. twice this past week i was OFF on place bets ($150 each on the 5,6 and and the dealers (different places) tried to pay me. the box did not catch it. BOTH times i left the money on the layout and pointed to it until someone realized that i was still off (busy games both times). i try not to yell out so as not to bring attention and embarass the dealers. i do not like to give myself away, but you are also correct in that i do not win enough to get barred, and i play correctly. i was at the Mirage this week, and went to cash out and the box looked at me and said 'the system worked today, huh?' lol. the guy didn't recognize me cause i hadn't played there in about 2 months. it was just that he recognized that i was calling my bets on and off at specific times, legally, and playing a system. Every casino executive in the world wants a system player at their tables. i'll say this again, and i know how it sounds...i am involved in enough rolls for the dice probabilities to 'work' themselves out. yes, individual sessions are too short. Yes, in theory, my trips may sometimes be too short, but most times are not. Roll the dice 100 times, does the 7 come out 16.67 % of the time. no, it probably does not (maybe it will this time). roll the dice 1000 times, will it come out 16.67? no, but it will start to come a LOT closer than it did at 100. roll 2000, then 3000, then 5000. the dice probabilities WILL match almost exactly what they are supposed to be. If I see enough rolls, I can count on the that fact, just as the casinos do. If I am properly funded, if I have enough discipline, if I have a good enough system, I just might win. I am going to leave this post here, but I will contact you soon with my method. I want you to run it with a set of dice. It is very easy and you can tell me your results. Fair enough? Posts: 10 (10/14/07 07:26) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I have been dealing craps for over 9 yrs mostly everyday.and for the most part. people lose because either they don't know how to play when there is a hot roll.or they stay at the table too long..In the long run craps is going to get your money, I don't believe that someone can be a pro or semi pro because like what was said before the dice don't have a memory.The only way to make money on a crap table is to know when to walk away after you catch a roll and most people think that roll is going to happen again..This idiot is probally one of the fleas that stands right next to stick and sets the dice on the hard six and procedes with the rythmic shooting which was being offered in a class that cost $800. at the casino I work at we have people that are there every single day and they always lose.craps is a game of luck. If it was a game of skill the casino wouldn't offer it.My casino had a 2 hour roll and the table only lost 80 grand and one guy walked with 65 grand.Idiots still had 12 each on the 6 and 8

Posts: 11 (10/15/07 07:13) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	yescraps, thank you for your comments. no, i have never taken a class. no, i have never read a craps book in my life. yes, i do 'set' the dice (but not on the hard 6), but no, i do not believe it makes any difference at all. i got into a VERY heated argument with the Floor Sups at the Venetian about 3 weeks ago because i was setting the dice and i accidently missed hitting the back wall. i try to hit the back wall on every single roll, and i picked up the dice on the CO, and without looking (and without setting) just casually tossed the dice, and they did not reach the wall (very unintentional on my part). i then started to set after the CO, and one dice missed. that set them off into a tizzy. i then tried my damndest to set and make the dice bounde right in front of the wall and barely touch the wall, lol. well, one roll hit the table about an inch in front and both dice BIT hard and bounced backwards instead of forward (like a golf shot). they called the floor, the pit, and threatened to call the shift boss on me. lmol. you are right, dice have no memory. no roll influences the next. statistics are what they are, however, and i count on that. vegas is there for a reason. as long as you and that boxman believe i cannot win, no one will ever think that i can. that just helps me. and for the record, i tip the dealers from start to end whether i win or lose. i drop a minimum of $30-60 on losing sessions and from $80-$200 on winning ones. if every single one of your players did that, yescraps, where would you be today? blizzard19

When the shooters are cold back off, when they get hot press a little, Im not going to say which system will provide the best return because they all suck when a seven out hits, but what is important when playing a system is taking care of the dealers, yes I know this sounds like a hustle, but seriously if you miss a bet who is likely to remember, who is going to remind you? So take care of those that are taking care of you. When I did gamble if I wanted to try something new, first I would plant myself as close to the dealer as I could and explain what I was doing, as soon as the dealer responded in a positive manner two way this, two way that. It caught there attention, now they want to make sure I get all my bets, they want to help your system work, so always take good care of the dealers.

Most places now don't rate your odds. You may think that you have a $300 average, but you only have a $75 average for your flat bets, place bets and props. That might be why you think you should get more comps, but are not.
