Hi I'm a full time D/R Dealer at one of the Connecticut Casinos. I'm thinking about making the jump to vegas. I currently deal high limit (BJ,RO,BC,)
and I also have Pai Gow Poker and Craps. I was wondering what kind of money dealers and floors make on the strip per year and what are great places to work at?
I'm going out there in may and was wondering what places I should go to and inquire working at? I know what casinos are considered the higher tier ones
(wynn, venetian, bellagio, etc.) but i was wondering if there are any diamonds in the ruff i should look into? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

You can take a look around at the properties, but you don't really have to come all the way out here to look for a job. All the hiring goes through HR now
and you can do all that stuff online. Networking for contacts isn't a bad idea, because they might be able to let you use them as a reference when you
apply. You also might be interested in the fact that there are quite a few people out here from Foxwoods and Mohegan already. Who knows, maybe 1 of them could
get you some inside info on who to talk to after the economy starts to get better and places start hiring again.

That is not true. I came from the midwest at a much smaller, lesser known casino than foxwoods or mohegan and I got two interviews set up before I moved here,
and I only had 21 and pai gow. Once here, I got a full time dual-rate position within a week. What hurts you more than being across the country is the
current hiring freeze at many casinos out here. Just apply at a bunch of places and hope for the best.
