I lived in South Florida for about 20 years, and know a half dozen or so people who work as poker dealers at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, and some of them make
around $100k a year, so I am sure there is plenty of potential working at one of the Hard Rocks. Avoid the regular Seminole casinos as they currently mostly
frequented by locals with very little money.

deal , you have to be dual rate (with twice a week on the floor, $190 a day) .

If it is pooled and They arent hiring Full-Time,It is going to be break-in city for the Seminoles.Quality Dealers from other states are not going to move to another state for a part-time pooled job.Why would dealers in Atlantic City making $50000-$90000 a year move for a pooled no union part-time job?Why would dealers from California who are making $70000-$100000 a year take a part time pooled job in another state.Every Casino tells employees That the Dual Rates will only floor a couple days a week.It never happens that way.The few experienced dealers will get stuck on Bacarrat and Paigow all shift long because the new dealers will not be able to deal them.It will probably be a $150 a day pooled job. When California Casinos opened,They let dealers keep their own tips.Quality Dealers from all over the U.S. filled the positons quickly. These jobs are now some of the hardest jobs to get.If the Seminloes let their dealers keep their own tips,The good dealers would average over $500 aday. The Casinos hold percentage would be much higher.Break-In dealers are much slower and make alot of mistakes.Dealers who get to keep their own tips are much friendlier and deal much faster.I hope that that the Seminoles rethink their tip pooling and part-time dealer policies. It would be Win-Win for everybody. |

It looks like the CT job fair is 4/1-4/2 at the Connecticut Convention Center.

Why would someone move 1000 miles for a part time job?

You're right. Anybody who's a good dealer won't come unless they're going to retire soon. I lived in FL for a long time and even worked on a
couple of boats there. I had been waiting on this so I could go back. But I wouldn't even consider going back for a part-time gig w/ no bene's. No way
in hell. They're going to end up with a bunch of retirees, break-ins and the retards who's jobs are always on the line because they're too stupid
or too smart to do what they're supposed to. If this is the route they chose to go. They're in trouble. Because every two-bit cheat and card shark is
going to be trying to take those places down. I guarantee they get hit for a lot of money if they don't hire the best they can find. And I hope they
don't think that they're going to fill those positions with the dealers off those boats. Because half of them couldn't pass a background check and
the half that do haven't seen any real action. Good luck.

Do they plan on having a job fair in Las Vegas? If not what's the best way to get a job out there? Am very interested in moving to Tampa. It also says on
the website they are hiring for June but then they also state for the next year and half they are hiring 4000 dealers/employees. Basically very interested but
like most have a house to sell etc. Would LOVE to leave Vegas for FLORIDA.
