What is your least favorite type of stroking. What's your favorite type of counterstroking?

When that happens to me I go on to the next player and the one after him until all players are serviced, then I come back to stroker ace and ask now what else
did you want. They usually get the message.

My favorite is different units of come bets and dont come bets.
The 1st come bet is $5, then the next one is $7, then the next one is $13, etc....no such thing as a simple "off and on" Same goes for dont come bets, but with these bets, its more fun to pay the multiple flats BEHIND each number, along with the jacked up lays these guys come up with....$15 lays the 6 or 8, $7.50 lays the 5 or 9..which ARE proper, but damn, only a stroke would think of these. |

I have a few of my favorite counterstroking measures. I had a guy come into a big strip property i was working at, I had like two place bets, and he puts a
come bet out. 8 easy, i go to move the bet and he says that's my bet, that goes to the 8, in the corner. So I say, oh ok, where in the corner sir? He says,
over a little bit more, so i move it a bit over, here? Ok, now next time I need you where to tell me where to put that one as well. His friend was there, he
said, dude, he's telling you to F*$% off, i'll bet he's been doing this forever. So his friend says "dude, how long have you been
dealing?" I said 10 years, so he said to his buddy, he does this 40 hours a week for ten years i think he knows where to put your money. The first guy
asks, really? I said, would you like odds sir? He got the point.
My favorite counterstroke, something i could only get away with downtown was what i called "right back atcha" when players next to base would throw all their chips behind my working stacks, and say "34 inside" i'd reply "excuse me sir, could you please set them in the come or in front of you, it speeds up the game" he doesn't reply, next time "54 accross" right into the working stacks. So first roll 8 hits, i take the 14 bucks and just fling it into the GRT about 5 feet away from him. Wow this is easier. Or any version of doing to them what they've been doing to you. I've always wanted to do this to a string better, "345 is your color up sir...ok here's 100, ok hold on for the next roll, ok here's 45, hold up we need another roll, ok 100 more, wait one more second, ok here's your last hundred, thanks for playing! I had a boxman tell me about something that happend at the flamingo in the 70's there was a break in and this JO was betting the field, all green chips, use to bet 20 chips at a time, but he'd make it look like a poker pot, break it down and make a mess. 4 would hit, dealer would stack up the money, size into it, player would make it into a poker pot again, so they tapped out the rookie. So the guy bets again like 30 green chips, and 12 rolls, triple the field. So the dealer takes about 5 green chips and just plops them right on top of the pot sitting in the field. HEY! the player said, you paid me wrong, the box said, well how much did you have there? He replied "i dunno" well then he payed you right sir! I don't think he tried that shanningan again! |
