My friend who works at Wynn told me that they fired some baccarat pit personnel for, get this, charging 5% juice on winning "PLAYER" bets.

The floor must need a bigger share! | ||

Wow! I guess they aren't giving those floormen enough of the dealer's tokes, I just heard the other day that one of the floormen was arrested for
ARMED ROBBERY! Yep...sounds like the tip sharing policy is really working to get the "best" floormen for the job! HA!

Since the dealers pay the bets, I guess they did not hire the best dealers in town either. I am really tired of people bashing on the floor at Wynn. Remember they did not ask for this. And before you say they could just refuse the money, do you really think that Steve Wynn would allow them to keep the job if they did. |

Let me be clear. | ||
|
I heard that it wasn't just a bet or two that the dealer spaced-out on, I heard he or she was charging all PLAYER bets 5 %. My question is: how does anyone
who has dealt the game more than two minutes not know that BANKER bets are charged 5% but not PLAYER bets. If true, how could such a lump end up in the biggest
baccarat pit in town?

i saw a dealer in cali tear the cards and throw them down the drop box instead of the box for the discards. also i saw a dealer on mini bac put the cards in
the drop box without anyone catching it. at end of shoe she asked for the new decks and the floor looked like he was gut shot. haha.....caca happens

I heard it was at least twice and there was only one very big player. So not only did the dealer that did it space but how about the stick dealer (did they not remember calling player wins??) but the dealer on the dead side should have been paying attention too-as well as the two floor. That is just an inexcusable mistake all the way around. But those dealers are the "best of the best", right?? hornhi, you are right about the floor not asking for it and nobody in their right mind would refuse it if they were in that position. |

best of the best? give me a break!!!!! anyone can make a mistake although not likely amongst so many, unless comfort played into it.... oh, well, guess none
of them should have become so comfortable with one calling the shots... bad on them ..of course,... sad, and true.
as far a floormen getting the ax for other things like breaking the law? sad again and true.... does seem floors at wynn are breeding these few... hey, maybe karma, maybe not, maybe just bad blood.... dont know. ..... funny, i find this even though...... now stay tuned for the next adventure.......................... |

Reading this thread reminds me of the game where several persons in succession repeat what they were told to prove how things change the more they are repeated. Most of the "I heard" posters have no idea what happened and are making value judgments (adding their own twist) based on flawed information. The following is a fictitious scenario and presented for discussion purposes only. Assume you are the boss. What would you do if the following happened on your watch? A high roller (the only player) has lost $1 mill + on one of your bac tables. A dealer, who has a history of making mistakes, charges commission on a player win. The "stick dealer" notices the mistake and drops a hint to the other dealer. The player is upset that he lost $ 1 mill + and complains obstinately that the TL's (who were conversing with each other) are not supervising the game (catching the mistake) thus not doing their jobs. The player leaves your casino upset and vows never to return. Why is a dealer with a history of making mistakes allowed to deal a high limit game and/or allowed to endanger the jobs of fellow dealers and/or not fired? Would you fire a dealer who refuses to work on the same team with the dealer that has a history of making mistakes? What more should the other dealers have done? What should happen to TL's who fail to supervise a high limit game? Would you pay the TL's more to entice them to do a better job? |

Forgive my naivety for I do not deal baccarat, but why would the other dealers not speak up on the miscue? I wouldn't think of it as getting the dealer in
trouble but rather CYA. Equivalent to a mucker on a roulette game not speaking up when the dealer mispays. Both are responsible. I would think an 'I did
not notice' answer would be unacceptable and apparently it holds true as the entire team has been placed on suspension?
