Hand-held Blackjack Question
OK, here is the situation: Single or Double Deck Blackjack table. The cards are dealt face down. Now a player - intentionally or not - takes two hit cards and
then throws the hand in since he busted. After arranging the cards, the dealer notice that the player was already over 21 after the first hit card and that
there was no reason for taking another card. Now, the value of the second hit card fits exactly the hand of the next player who wants this card. Dealer says
"no." and discards all four cards. Player beefs and tells the dealer to call the floor...
What's the common procedure for this situation? Is the second hit card that was drawn when the first player already was over 21 available to the next player or do you burn this card? What happens when the "mistake" of drawing only is discovered after the hand, when cards are turned face-up and winners paid/losers taken? May the player continue playing at face down tables after he has done the same thing again ("Oh, I'm sorry - I got a different total...")?
