When the site expanded to attract all dealers....
It stopped
Why have we become so self-centered?
Yes, I am looking in the mirror. I also stopped doing it. I suppose I have forgotten whats its like to be out of work I guess.

When dicedealer.com came online we had this section and it was so cool. Job rumors we called it. It was a shot in the dark. Dealers would pop in here and say something to the effect "We need crap dealers at XXX see Joe Smith swing shift." Or "For what's it's worth XXXX needs extra board apply online"

Im sure your SB logo doesnt truly represent you! Maybe it does. Speaking from experience, mostly had pretty good jobs, but when you lose it, you lose reality. This is a marketing business and you have to sell yourself because compitetion is a bitch. We all want what is best for ourselves and loved ones, however, when it comes to it we have to pay our own bills. Just a comment.

Yeah I am looking for work and let me remind you, IT IS NOT EASY. remember in las vegas as is in alot of places out there it's not what you know its who
you know. So for those working (appretiate your job!!) Its too funny hearing ppl complaining about things when they make between 200 and 400 a shift. There
are alot of ppl willing to trade places with you!!!

I don't believe it's totally true in who you know, but it can't hurt. But always remember whom you know will get you in the door, but it's up to you to get thru your 90 days.
Back to what I wanted to say. Juice is not necessary to get a good job. Just to give you an example.
I applied for a Table Games Floor position at The Venetian and by good fortune I was hired and just passed my 90 days. I don't know one person that works
here. In my opinion to get a good job you will need to have two things. Number one is to have an out going personality and good guest service, and the second
is games MD Bac, Big Bac, Dice, Roulette and all the Pia Gow games. You don't have to know them all but you will have to know at least three of them.

No offense Dreamer, but most of these places out here aren't looking to hire 700 table games positions are 1 time. Juice is not necessary, but it sure does
help. Having inside information about when job postings are going up, having people who are already established employees helps, ie. stuff like that helps you
get your foot in the door. I'm not saying that it's not up to you to pass your probationary period, but juice definately helps. With the employment
process going through HR now, it's not as big of a deal. But unless your getting into a brand new place or a place that is doing an expansion, it's not
as easy to get a job.
