Did not actually see it myself, but my boss' husband told me this one. He's out playing one night and the dealer would grab the 3 cards for the flop, not place them on the table. After he did this, he would arrange the cards in order from low to high before placing the board on the table. Hubby says to dealer "what the hell are you doing?" Dealer replies, look I have been dealing at this casino for over a year and this is how I've always done it. Hubby asks for floor and dealer says no - WTF? I always say if player asks get the floor, no matter what.
Needless to say I was dumbfounded that this guy actually still has a job. |

Checking without cards | #2

I was dealing 3/6 limit and the guy in the nine seat was very slow and not keeping up. 9 seat won a pot and was stacking his winnings, it was his turn I told
him 3 times it was his action. Needless to say he was taking his time, so I just waited.(it was late and I was tired). Finally the guy in 8 seat checked (he
had folded pre-flop) by tapping on the table and the 9 seat seing a check looked up and bet. The whole table thought it was funny. Nine seat never got the
joke. He kept looking around wondering what was so funny.

Holdem without cards | #3

I was teaching a new group of dealers and one of the dealers got in the box in class and got so nervous, she didn't deal any cards, just a flop. She looks
at the small blind, who just to be a goof, says "I bet" well then immediately I said "I raise", so then he says "I go all in"
then I say, oh crap, and then said i'd fold if I had any cards! Everyone thought it was great, even the dealer was able to breathe a bit easier after that.

No cards HoldEm | #4 | ||

One of our tournament structures has antes in the higher rounds. The first time I dealt it I was fine, but as soon as I relaxed a little, the routine took
over. I pulled in all the antes, put them in the pot, and since it felt like a betting round, I burned a card, dealt a flop, pointed to seat one waiting for a
check or bet. The players were up in arms. "Aren't we going to get any cards?"
But I'm not a nervous new dealer. "Hell, no!" I said. "You just bet on what you think I'm gonna give you!" Seat one froze, trying to figure out if I was serious or not. I let him hang just a few seconds, then said "Aw, never mind." and scooped up all the cards to reshuffle and deal them right. Seat one was already whining "But I liked that flop......" |
