Thirteen dollar blackjack with reprocussions |

I was dealing one night and this guy comes to my table after leaving the dice game across from me.He has 5 red chips one pink(2.50)chip and a 1$ chip.We didnt have 50 cent pieces,but we did have 50 cent chips but they were only on crap tables.He bets 2 red the pink and the dollar 13.50,and gets a pair of aces and wants to split.No big deal right........wrong!He did not have any money accept those 3 red chips in his hand,15$.Well you cant make change in that situation.Think about it how can you give a 2.50 chip and a dollar chip in the same transaction,you cant it doesnt quite add up.So I call my floor who was stumped.Never saw this situation before either,so he calls the pit.The pit who was old school(the original G.M of the M.G.M in vegas) came over and was shown the situation.He quietly muttered" godam fleas where do they find them."Then said he can split for 14$ after I took his money I looked down and tere was a 50 cent chip in my rack under the 2.50 stack,they were very similar in color and I had never seen one on a black jack game so it never occured to me to look.Two nights later the same guy was on my dice game and was playing alone betting the donts.Getting his asss handed to him.Point is 8 and he has one dont bet left and its the line of course,so he puts his last 10$ on the come.8 rolls,so he loses his dont pass bet and his come bet goes to the 8.He has no more money and no line bet and no other players.Of course the whole floor discussion took place,cuz you cant shoot without a line bet.What are the odds of this happening to the same guy,both times on the same game as me?They let him shoot for the 8.I have never seen those two things happen before or after,b ut I never dealt to him again either.

So if you don't keep 50 cent cheques on blackjack tables, only $2.50 cheques, why are they allowed to bet anything other than $5 increments?

Cmon you should know by now that alot of things dont make sense on the floor.To even make your question more sensable if you get a black jack with a 2.50 cheque bet it pays 4$ so you make an extra quarter.The rules are made by people who seem to have never dealt a card.

*rolls eyes* Yeah, I understand some houses are less logical than others. I guess your house likes handling jackpot situations on a regular basis. *shrug* Do you have Super Fun 21? Are they allowed to double down for less there?

we had a game called sigle 21 which is similar just better rules for ex.Double down at anytime,split any 2 alike cards that are touching at any time for ex. you got a 6-2 you hit and get a 2 you can split the 2's or double on three cards.6 cards is automatic winner u can double a 5 card soft hand and cant lose.B.J. is automatic also but pays even $ unless suited then 3-2,and you can surrender or rescue no matter how many cards.Oh yeah you can double for less.

Holy hell. That's quite the game. How many decks is it? You say you "had" it so I'm guessing it wasn't very popular.

Not All places pay $4 for a $2.50 blackjack | ||
|
Every casino I dealt at in Nevada payed even money on the off 50cents so a $2.50 would pay $3.50 and the player would lose a quarter. Paying $4 for a $2.50
blackjack sounds like something a Indian casino would do because they are bound by compacts that say they must at least pay 3 to 2.
