Dirty money |
Lead | |

Okay, I've come across some radically different views on the term "dirty money". I was taught that "dirty money" is a losing wager and
you never pay with dirty money. If you bring it back to your stacks and tap, it cleans the money. I, personally, give a rat's ass about procedure but I
was wondering what you all thought "dirty money" is.

I was taught the same as you.
I'm curious what the "radically different views" are though. |

Officially every casino will agree that paying with dirty money is against the SOP. But I only noticed breaking joints really enforcing such a rule. You can
never go wrong when you follow the SOP.

In BJ class I was taught that dirty money was losing wagers that contained multi colors. eg. You could pay the next winning bet with prior losing bets as long
as it didn't contain more than one color. Just recently (after dealing dice for 8 years) I learned that on dice it is any losing wager. eg. You can not
pay the last come bet with losing wagers from the pass line. And you can not pay a field bet with a losing come bet. For at least 7 years these were
perfectly accepted time saving moves and now suddenly they are considered dirty money moves. It sounds like my case is not an isolated one.
