Just curious on how many people have ever dealt mini-craps, or even seen it?To give a little background, I work at a small casino in the Midwest that just opened up on memorial day of 2006. Craps was slow during the week so someone came up with the idea of putting in the tub to save on dealer hours. Yeah, it saved on dealer hours but since then we've had several craps dealers quit because of it. Now we have to deal on this during the week (the real one is open only on Friday and Saturday...

So if you're dealing solo in a tub, would you pay/take props at the beginning (before down behind and field) or the end (after paying place bets). I
wouldn't be sure because when normally on base it's never in my checkdown list, the stick handles it. But when you're base AND stick ... owwww my
head hurts!

I dealt the tub at Casino Royale back in 1998, as others have said, you easily control the pace of the game. If you get run over, it's your own damn fault. You do need to watch the players like a hawk. So easy to take shots on that game. Make sure they eye has at least two cameras on it. Ellis Island is one of the few places that has a working tub that I know of in Vegas these days. It's hardly ever open.

I broke into craps with a tub. There were two base layouts and you could get four or five players on each side. We almost always had a base dealer and a stick. If it got busy and you were the base dealer then it was like dealing on a big table only dealing both bases. I was real happy to see it go.

I broke in where there was a tub and yes there is no game protection. However it can be fun and it is experence like no other. You have no help so you have to just slow down and make correct payoffs. Procedure
well the only you can have is just pay one side of the table and then the other and case your layout like a hawk so that you catch (most) of the cheep shots.
THE TUD A GREAT WAY TO WORK YOUR ASS OFF FOR NOTHING LOL.

Basically 4-5 players per side was the max. There was ZERO game protection while paying place bets on the oppisite end. You had to look to the oppisite end as you paid the place bets.
