Last Superbowl I was sitting box and the dice were about to be shot. A player (Known jack off) throws 500 into the come and only says coming. That's a bet says the dealer as the dice are in the air. There was a guy who use to play at a big strip property (recently kicked out) had a million dollar credit line..would come up and say 15 accross, with 3-purple in the right pocket 3-5,000 checks in the left, and depending on what hit, he'd throw it in. I'm glad the management just said, he gets no shots, they told the boxman, watch him, if he gets one in on you, you're done.

Even the best dealer can be turned if not paying attention. As far as shots go just no bet anything after the dice have left the center of the table. Also verbal bet or request must be acknowledged by the dealer. It takes two people to make these kinds of bets, dealer and player. Dealer can claim he didn't hear the player.

Yes, I believe we have finally met Richard Taylor.

I read the other posts and the description matches pretty well. He was wearing a knit hat, so i cant vouch for the bald comment but everything else is pretty close.

There are about 5 casino's within an hour from me and all have fairly high table limits, so he might be in the area for a while. However there are a lot of really good dealers in the chicago market, and only a matter of time befor the Indiana gaming board catches...

One I always check for is the E-T bet. I now ask them point blank if it is eleven-two, eleven-three, or eleven-twelve. Got burned on that one a long time ago when a two rolled and I had booked a $200 "E-T" from a player, of course he was screaming he had bet the two and the floor paid him. I won't book an "E-T" anymore, you gotta be specific with the numbers with me now. I ain't getting my ass in a sling for that again. I still see newbie dealers get caught on that one...

You and Chicago have finally met Richard Taylor..

He put a few of Turning Stone employees on the un-employment line and tried taking shots at Seneca and Fallsview (twice). Needless to say he is banned from NY State and Ontario Casinos.

Attention Chicago Area Dealers,

I saw this shot at my game last week.

a very freinldly black dude ( mid 30's, average build and height) standing next to base, buying in several times for $500-$1000 if he's losing.

Lots of 2 way bets, some misc. prop action but mostly fairly large place bets. Nice guy, easy to deal to.

then a couple of hours later, (the shot comes )

the dice are in the air, the dealer is not hawking the dice, this dude says $1,000.00...

I was sharing my shot experience with those that may not know this particular shot.

A player throws in a purple ($500 dollar cheque) and exclaims, "Four Eighty Seven Change On The Yo!" (Right before the dice land... of course.)

Is it a 480 big red and a 20 dollar yo? Or is it 480 across, including the point, (7 dollar vig) and a 13 dollar yo?

I actually saw it on a game when I first started. It wasn't me... I've been sucker'd for a shot here and there but I promise, it wasn't this one.

Some English Wanker tried it. It was a successful shot....

My personal favorite was a guy back in the mid ninties (much like the first shot mentioned - $100 red) in the midwest that was going aroud betting "487 change on the 'yo" as the dice were about to be shot. He caught alot of break-ins sleeping on that one. This was when the northwest Indiana Boats first opened and almost all of the dice crews were learning fast ... lol. Obviously they took vig upfront; so is it 487 across including with a 13 dollar yo or 480 any seven with a 20...

Those sort of things are going to happen from time to time. Were only human after all.
The other day I had a guy playing on my side of the table and he was hooking us up pretty good. He was making $150 come bets then taking max odds. We had a "10 winner" I paid the line and brought his come bet onto the 10. After we got a point(6) I forgot to ask him about odds for his ten don't you know that 10 came right back. I look down and saw $150 flat with no odds and I knew there was...

How about dealers taking shots? Today a guy throws in $10 and says "all the hardways and a horn". I could have made it a $6 horn and $1 each hardway but didn't and gave him $2 change. Another regular player is really lazy about telling us what the money he puts in the come is for. Many times today he put money in the come as the dice were going out and said "that's a ten/four/whatever" when I knew it was for odds on his come bet on that number. I could've taken a shot...
