True, but right now this spring anyway, many of the local casinos are on a hiring freeze. Only the big operators on the strip that cater to the international tourist can handle this recession. Yes, recession. And it's going to get worse before it gets better.

The responses you got are typical Las Vegas. The attitude of the people who posted are" I've got mine, to hell with you". Most of the new breed of dealers have asskissed their ways into their jobs and could care less about anyone else. Most have dealing skills so poor they cannot be called "professionals".

You need to see the weekdays as well as the weekends to judge if the casino in question is right for you... also keep in mind the cost of living in the different parts of town. However all the major resorts are corporate now, so just check out what looks good to you and go on the internet and see what they have to offer.

I currently live in Washington State and really thinking about moving to Las Vegas to start a career there as a table games dealer. I have been dealing for two years now and I know that if I do get a job I will probably have to work graveyard shifts or even the zombie shifts (2am-10am).
