I never said the union was to blame for poor dealers but pointed out that the union will be protecting those poor dealers. And isn't that one of the main benefits you keep touting?

Very interesting. I just have a couple points of interest myself. At the casino I work at, we have 12 hour shifts for our baccarat dealers and floor. They are offered to the full time people in the baccarat room first, and on swing shift, we do not have a shortage of dealers and floor who will work these shifts. In fact, more often then not, these same people will argue about not being able to get the 12 hour shifts, they seem to all want the overtime offered. As far as that mistake was...

My bad, different situation where the Union got someone reinstated this week. As for the baccarat crew, I don't think they have contacted the Union as of yet.

The Union has gotten one of the Dealers reinstated, but neither of the other two have been in contact with the Union. As for the Floor involved, word is they were fired.

I'm getting sick and tired of people defending poor dealer skills.I work 6 days a week with a couple of double shifts thrown in as well so the 12 hr shift sh*t don't cut it.As for blaming the scheduler or pencil that is just plain ridiculous.There are different levels of competency for sure but to charge vig on a 'player' payout and then suggest that the dealer is "error prone" tells me that these people are in the wrong job.

Given the fact that Wynn is apparently running a baccarat tournament and working their dealers to the point of exhaustion, perhaps this is exactly what Wynn wanted to 'eliminate' some undesireable dealers.

Lets not forget that this mistake happened in the middle of a week in which people were doing 12 hour shifts for a few days already. People that were used to working a day shift, 12 to 8 were forced to come and work 8am to 8pm. Nothing huge, but enough to change peoples routines and maybe mess with thier minds a little bit. Also the casino cherry picked its best and most experienced dealers to deal in the baccarat tounrament that was going on at the same time. Four or five of the best...

We keep talking about this team-lead fiasco that Wynn created in regards to how much money we make as dealers, floors and whatnot. But what about the state of Nevada? We have no sales tax and the gaming tax is how we pay for things. Why on earth would the NGC allow a system whereby the supervisors of in charge of seeing that regulations and procedures are followed on the gaming tables to benefit when the players win? 5 people were sleeping on the game. 5 people should ALL receive equal treatment. Also, if the player was betting $50-100K a flip, the Pit Manager wasn't watching either? How about the "eye"? Why is a dealer with a history of making mistakes allowed to deal a high limit game and/or allowed to endanger the jobs of fellow dealers and/or not fired?

Those dealers endangered their own jobs by not speaking up.

Exactly. Yes, mistakes happen but "dropping a hint" to the other dealer? The stick dealer should have stopped the dealer that did it right away and the dealer on the dead base also should have said something. 1 player to watch and 3 dealers + 2 floor can't handle it?

Forgive my naivety for I do not deal baccarat, but why would the other dealers not speak up on the miscue? I wouldn't think of it as getting the dealer in trouble but rather CYA. Equivalent to a mucker on a roulette game not speaking up when the dealer mispays. Both are responsible. I would think an 'I did not notice' answer would be unacceptable and apparently it holds true as the entire team has been placed on suspension?

My friend who works at Wynn told me that they fired some baccarat pit personnel for, get this, charging 5% juice on winning "PLAYER" bets.
