This reminded me of a slightly similar situation that happened at our place last weekend. Point of 10, player has $162 across including. He puts $10 on the line for the point. Would you pay it $18 (place) or $20 (press on the buy)?

I would take it as the player was betting the point for me ... $28 in the box. If he asked for it back, "Oh so that wasn't a bet for me? (mumble) always left out of the action." I'll git my money.

The action that he had was including the point, so he had only a $25 buy. So he'd be getting the $25 buy + $10 place the point on the line (we would only charge...

If you add the $10 that is placed on the line into the buy bet then you would have given him $60 worth of buy action for only $2 instead of $3. It has to be a place bet on the line if he didn't pay the required juice.

the answer to this question is the same as the answer to a lot of these questions......its is how your house does it.....you could go to five different casino's and this could be done five different ways......also you could learn the way your house does it, do it that way and then get abuse from a numbnuts box who does it a different way...there is no right answer.

You can place the bet on the pass line, in between the lines with the buy button on top of the bet.

Oh. See, my place charges only $1. We don't charge $2 until it gets to $40.

At my joint, it's automatically bought at $20, you put it square on the pass line. If they just randomly chunk $50 on the line after the point is established, it's bought; button on, on the pass line. Either way, if there's a button on it, it's bought. If I just glance at it and say, "point is bought on the line," it's bought. If the juice is up front, he pays, you buy. I don't care if he wants to buy $5 and the point is 6, you buy as long as he's...

You set it up like you are placing the point on the line, with the buy button on it. You do not put it in between the lines.....(at least at our place).

Ok, had an argument with an old friend of mine. A guy on a $5 table places the point on the line for $5, a few numbers roll, says he want to buy the point on the line for $100, so I told him you put a buy button on it, put it in between the two lines. He says you leave it on the line and put the buy button on it. Who do you think is right?
