The first thing you have to develop as a poker dealer is a very thick skin. The only proper way to handle the razzing this guy is giving you is to act as if you don't hear it, treat hime exactly the same as you do every other player, and prove him wrong. I regularly ignore things said at the poker table that I would punch someone's lights out for saying on the street. That's just the nature of the business.

I am a new poker dealer out of school only 3 months. I had a situation at a table where I was missing calling the live stradle because I was busy trying to keep a drunk player in line. Another player was upset with me for not calling the stradle 3 or 4 times and I do understand it is my responsibility to do this. The player that got upset is in the room EVERY day, or at least every day I work and every time I sit at the table he makes comments to other players about me such as "This...
