Do you think you could be pushing down to hard? I honestly don't know what it could be other than incorrectly spinning the ball. I snap the ball most times and am able to vary the speed doing this.

Try not thinking about spinning the ball when you go to spin. I have dealt roulette for 17 years and that is the advice I always tell dealers who are learning the game and are having a hard time spinning the ball. I am not saying you are having a hard time spinning but when you are not thinking about spinning the ball your hand is more relaxed when holding the ball.

Snapping finger to move ball is a good power spin, pushing is a more controlled spin. In the UK I could make the ball go exactly 3 revolutions (UK minimum 18 years ago) when I started on the Fl casino boats I stepped it up to 5 revolutions ( the new Min'), the only time I had any pains was from pushing stacks, burns, or if finger nails were to long or to short, the lenght of the nails caused issues in and out of work. i "snap" the ball out aswell.

we recently got new wheels at our place (10k each!!) and all the dealers who dont click it out, as we say - like clicking your fingers, seem to throw the ball across the casino.

a little push is good for a slow spin, but i can get it going for about 5 mins if i have a busy game and loads of chips to get out my machine.

hmm.... I personally snap the ball but can do it by pushing as well. Speed control really. If I want a quick spin becuase there aren't a lot of bets being placed I will push the ball but if I want to crank it, I snap it.

My ball won't fly out of your wheel. If you snap so that your middle finger moves parallel the track, (track?) it will be smooth and fast.

I don't get any rubbing, pain, calouses, rawness, or anything from spinning the ball. I don't know wtf you are doing it...

Discomfort around the nails?? not sure what thats about ... mabe your nail are too long and get snagged pushing cheques?

I got pains in my thumb from snapping the ball. Now I have a lump of a callus on my thumb.

Also, I would get "carpet burn" kind of pain in my fingers and palm from pushing cheques. Again, calluses will cure this ... time will cause calluses ... hate to say it but ... you're paying your dues kid.

If you are holding the ball correctly and spinning correctly, there should be no pain in the fingers. You should be holding the ball with your middle finger and thumb against the track. The you spin the ball by "pushing" the ball around the track with your arm and wrist.

Some dealers "snap" the ball but on our wheels the ball will pop out. Also, try using a different size ball.
